Dr. Brian McCauley was raised in the Seattle area, where he grew up mountain climbing and skiing. After graduating from college, he was on the staff of the Governor of Washington State. He has had senior positions in several entrepreneurial businesses and was the managing publisher of an international newspaper based in Boston that won a Pulitzer Prize under his stewardship. He left business to go into education and taught at an independent boys’ school near Boston while getting his Master’s in education at Boston University. He became Dean of Enrollment Management at Principia College, his alma mater, and earned his doctorate in education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Dr. McCauley enjoys skiing and four-wheeling in Utah when he is not traveling the world recruiting students. He is married to Annie McCauley and they have two daughters.
