The Lady Tigers Volleyball program begins early in August and ends the first part of November.
All girls, incoming freshman through seniors, may be involved in the program. While it is always great to have students with VB playing experience, it is not required. During practices, the skills and strategy of the game will be taught. Girls will be placed on either the JV or Varsity team based on their ability.
Wasatch Academy competes with other private and public high schools at the 2A level (based on enrollment numbers). Choosing to play VB requires a commitment and sacrifice. Girls must be at all practices and keep their grades up in spite of missing classes to travel for games. The rewards of playing include learning to work with a group toward a common goal, self-discipline, self-control, time management, and a myriad of shared experiences with teammates who become best friends.
The early season camp which begins three to four weeks before the start of classes provides great team building as we fix our meals together, travel together, sleep in a dorm together, and of course practice together. There is an extra charge (donation) of $250 for this team camp to offset the cost of meals. The latest date to join the team is the first week of school.
