Aya Monticello is a Learning Coach who specializes in working with English Language Learners and started at Wasatch Academy in 2019. Aya received her associate degree from Snow College and is currently attending Utah State University to study elementary school education. She also has a Montessori certificate and is working on completing a TESOL certificate.

Before joining Wasatch Academy, Aya worked at Tilton School in New Hampshire as a Japanese tutor, at a Montessori preschool in Concord, New Hampshire, and at an Elementary school in Manti, Utah. She enjoys working with students of all ages and helping them realize their full potential.

Aya grew up in Nagoya, Japan. Her husband is a teacher at Wasatch Academy and their son is a student at Wasatch as well. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading comic books, watching anime, doing yoga, and baking.
