—
Michael has taught students from kindergarten to university. At the university level, he taught in Korea for over a decade, gradually transitioning from teaching English language to more scientific subjects. He left Korea to become a New York City Teaching Fellow, and taught science in NYC public schools for a few years. He left New York to teach biology at an international school in Taiwan. Finally, he decided to return to the United States and is happy to be here at Wasatch Academy.
There is nothing Michael loves more than seeing students grow and improve over the course of a school year. He derives great joy from helping students who struggle at the beginning of the school year to become strong scholars by the end. When he's not teaching, he spends his time running, hiking, and weightlifting. He also likes to play the guitar, and enjoys comic books and sci-fi movies.
