Miriam Cottam's background includes studying mathematics and education at Brigham Young University and homeschooling her six children before they enrolled in Wasatch Academy.
She joined Wasatch Academy as a parent in 2004 when her oldest child started as a freshman, and she became a Learning Coach in 2015 when her youngest entered 7th grade at WA. All her children graduated from Wasatch Academy and are grateful for the excellent and international educational experience they enjoyed while living in the beautiful mountains of central Utah.
As a Learning Coach, Miriam enjoys working with high school students one-on-one and helping them develop the executive functioning and social/emotional skills to succeed in college and life while supporting them academically.
Family is Miriam's priority, and she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and two granddaughters. She also enjoys reading, hiking, whitewater rafting, and researching family history.
