Rebecca has been a Learning Coach at Wasatch Academy since January 2018. Before that, Rebecca was born in North Pole, Alaska, and graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a BA in psychology and a minor in secondary education. Rebecca earned a master's in education with an emphasis in mental health practices in schools from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Additionally, she received her licensure as a Social Service Worker (SSW) from the State of Utah.
Rebecca met her husband when he served his active-duty contract at Fort Wainwright Army Base in Fairbanks where they lived until 2016 when the couple moved to rural Utah. Since becoming a member of the Wasatch community, Rebecca has continued her education by obtaining a certificate from The University of Utah Reading Clinic as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. This skill allows her to work with students who have reading and writing difficulties.
In her spare time, Rebecca cheers on the United States Women’s Soccer team, takes care of her fur children, spends time with her husband, bakes tasty treats, and practices meditation.
