Ryan is originally from Winchester, Massachusetts, a small suburb of Boston where he graduated from high school. After compiling years of outdoor recreational experience through summer camp, personal adventures, and the National Outdoor Leadership School, Ryan realized his passion for experiential and outdoor education and began pursuing these on a professional level.

Ryan attended Colorado Mountain College in Leadville Colorado, where he achieved his associate degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership. Ryan also received a BA in Secondary Education, with a focus on Geology and Environmental Science from Prescott College.

Ryan’s aim is to help students understand and appreciate their environment and the world around them, so they can help support it and make a positive contribution as citizens of the world. Through his teaching experience at Wasatch, he hopes to inspire students to change their world for the better. Ryan also supports the many extracurricular outdoor adventures Wasatch Academy has to offer.
